Brighton Beach, Duluth
Brighton Beach is a public park area located just north of downtown Duluth. It sits right on the shore of Lake Superior and offers many beautiful views of the lake and of the city. In the summer, you’ll find people swimming, walking, grilling, and spending time looking for agates. In the winter, you’ll find people walking their dogs, enjoying the views, and climbing around on ice covered rocks. This is one of my favorite spots in Duluth because you feel you are in a secluded place, yet you can see the lift bridge and downtown just a few miles away. I went here recently with my friend from UMD, who I graduated high school with. We walked around, talked, took in the views, and of course climbed around on the rocks, hoping to not get splashed by an ice cold wave. If you ever want a place to go and relax and take in the Duluth, MN views, this is the place to go, being only 15 minutes from campus.
