Yuck!
The picture above is not something you want to see when you come home to wash your hands from work and hop in the shower. This is what I came home to today. My family’s home is on what is called a well. The water we have has to be run through a water softner to take out the iron because that water is considered “hard” that comes straight out of the well. It seems that one of the pipes the water goes through has rusted out and is turning the water in our home a nasty brownish yellow.
It also doesn’t help that our water softner worker is on vaccasion in Michigan…Yikes!
However, I did learn this evening how to bypass the water line valves and with a process of elimination figure out which pipe is rusted out, causing the problems. Learn something new everyday, I guess…
