Yoga AKA Broga
With our off-season workouts underway, we have added another factor in our program. Most commonly known as yoga, but to us ball players we are calling it “broga”, short for “bro yoga”. It isn’t mandatory but highly recommended to help increase our flexibility and athleticism this off-season. We are working out six days a week and our bodies sure feel the pain of breaking down muscle and rebuilding. We added the yoga to the program, every Sunday at 12 in the Burns Wellness Center activity room. We put in a yoga DVD and choose what we want to focus on and do two, 20-minute sessions. It is a great time for team bonding and jokes but also a serious time to better ourselves as athletes. Personally, I’m looking forward to maybe being able tot ouch my toes after a few weeks of broga!
