Welcome Weekend
On Friday August 29, the College of St. Scholastica saw an influx of freshman students making their way onto campus between 9am and 12pm. Campus was abuzz to say the least. There were Delta leaders, Residential Life Faculty and Staff, baseball, football, hockey, softball players and many more folks helping move freshman in. There were returning students holding signs, yelling with excitement, root beer floats being passed around, and even a catered lunch by Famous Dave’s for freshmen and their families. It was a very successful move in day despite the rainy weather. The positive and excited attitudes, from all who helped, made the initial step for the incoming freshman a great one!
The College of St. Schoalstica holds meetings, seminars, and gatherings for the new freshman to meet other students and learn more about what CSS is going to bring to them throughout their next 4 years here and what types of things they could expect. They also got to meet faculty and staff, learned about academic success strategies getting them off on the right foot in their classes, familiarized themselves with the support services the school has, and not to mention began to experience the family atmosphere that the Benedictine Values create here on campus. Welcome Weekend was an absolute success and something that every student, incoming and returning, looks forward to!!! #saintsnation
