Last week my family took a vacation up north to Minocqua, Wisconsin for about a week. I had a wonderful time just being with family. One of the best parts of the entire vacation was probably sleeping in! Getting up at 5:00am during the week really takes a toll on the body.

I spent quite a bit of time out on the lake tubing, skiing, and fishing. One of the cooler things I did on the trip was snorkel. My cousin had 2 sets of snorkeling gear and the water was beautifully clear. It was really neat being able to breath and see the life in the water.

During one of the days my brother and I took the rowboat out into the cove that our cabin was next to. Here is my brother with one of the “BIGGEST” catches of the week!

With all of the busy activity one thing is for sure; I didn’t go hungry on the trip. I ate extremely well! I also took a little day trip up to Ashland, WI to visit my aunt and uncle. They drove me around Ashland, Washburn, and Bayfield. I walked along the beach and check out some of the sailboats in the Bayfield Marina. I also ate at this really funky restaurant in Bayfield called Maggie’s. I had one of the best Whitefish sandwiches of my life!

Overall, I had a really fun time and besides a few nasty wipe outs on the tube it was a wonderful trip and I hope we go back up there next summer.
