    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

The Big Ten – Loyalty

The Big Ten is a list of words and phrases that the late Coach John Baggs came up with as he built the Saints Baseball program.  To this day, Coach Corey Kemp still makes each and everyone of his players memorize it and take a test over it on our way to Florida.  It’s not just a list to memorize and forget but a list to live by.  Many of the alumni and coaches have The Big Ten framed in their office or place of work because it such a significant part in their lives.

My next 10 blogs will be a new word/phrase from The Big Ten.  Although some of these terms have their own dictionary definitions, they have a specific meaning tot he baseball program. With that being said, the first term from The Big Ten is…

-Loyalty means being genuine and straight forward. As a part of the baseball program, we are part of a family and with that being said we have eachother’s backs. You have to earn this loyalty on our team.  Our captain’s know this first hand as they are our leaders. They respect their peers and in turn we will respect them back and be loyal to them and the team they are leading. Loyalty is a key component to our success as a team and that is why it is one of The Big Ten.
