I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Superior Hiking Trail – Moose Mountain Marathon

Another marathon is in the books. My girlfriend and I ran the Moose Mountain Marathon along the Superior Hiking Trail this past Saturday. It was a beautiful day that made for a wonderful run. The terrain was tough with lots of roots, rocks, and mud to go along with the large elevation changes over the course of the 26.2 miles. Our race was the shortest of the three (100 miler, 50 milers, and 26.2 miler). The volunteers were great! The trails were great! And the company was even better!

When you’re in Duluth or up along the north shore be sure to stop off and check out the Superior Hiking Trail. It is a vast trail extending from Jay Cooke State Park all the way up to the Canadian Border; 326 miles in total. Plenty of trail for everyone, from day hikers to runners to backpackers!

All smiles after being on the trail for 6 hours and 47 minutes!
