    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Summer Internship

One of the biggest parts to the Exercise Physiology course schema is the required internship. Every student in that department must complete a 4-16 credit internship before graduation in order to complete the requirements of the major. Most students choose to do their internships during the spring semester of their senior year. Other students choose to do it during the summer prior to their senior year to open up space for other classes, or to graduate early.

I was fortunate enough to find a location close to home (Illinois) to do mine this upcoming summer. I’m extremely excited to be an intern at the gym I spent quite a bit of time in during high school.

Warbird Training Academy is an up and coming training facility that is focused around high school athletes looking for sport specific strength training. I will be spending my summer as an intern at this location getting as much out of the experience as possible. It will be a busy summer but I know it is going to be one to remember!I will have my internship, two classes (Pathophysiology, Spiritual Living of the 21st Century), baseball, training, family, and hopefully some fishing when I get time.

Although it may not feel or look like it, summer is coming!
