    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Summer Green Thumb

My girlfriend and I recently stopped by Cummings Greenhouse, located on W Arrowhead rd. in Duluth, to pick up some vegetables for the summer. We decided on tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, basil, and cilantro. We tried cucumbers, peppers, and green beans last year but they became challenging with out limited space. It is fun to tend to a garden and have a little bit of responsibility of watering and tending to the vegetables throughout the summer. We also thoroughly enjoy when we can harvest our veggies and incorporate them into our meals.

If you are interested in growing plants, flowers, vegetables, etc. this summer, I recommend checking out Cummings Greenhouse. If you have a limited amount of space, go check out the website below “Duluth Community Gardens” to find a local community garden plot to rent out and satisfy your green thumb!

Our little porch garden that we have set up on our apartment deck.
