Skyline Sand Volleyball Tournament
We just completed our fourth week of PT summer classes as first year DPT students. It was time for a much deserved break!
It just so happened this past Saturday was an all-day sand volleyball tournament at Skyline Lanes. Two of my classmates organized two intermediate teams and one rec team to compete in the tournament.
It was my first time since junior high playing legit volleyball. It took me a few sets to figure out how to serve again, but I finally figured it out. My team ended up going 2-3 in pool play (better than we thought). We then won our first playoff match by taking the first two sets. Unfortunately we dropped our second playoff game in three sets.
Our other intermediate team didn’t fair so well, going 1-4 in pool play and 0-1 in the playoff round. Believe it or not our rec team went 0-6 on the day!
It was a great time with wonderful classmates and friends. The day was sunny and hot! A few cases of sunburned shoulders and some wicked tan lines that people were sporting today in class. Just a slight painful reminder of an awesome Saturday!

Anxiously awaiting our next volleyball match at the tournament.
