    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Shipping Season Begins

Living in Duluth, you will quickly come to learn that Lake Superior is arguably the biggest attraction of this wonderful place. Whether you are on campus in the 4th floor of Tower, in the new Health Science Building on the third floor, or just driving along the Duluth hillside you will often find yourself looking out towards the lake. Lake Superior becomes something you become accustomed to watching and appreciating in all it’s beauty. When doing so you will also notice BIG ships going in and out of the Duluth Harbor under the infamous Lift Bridge.

The 2018 shipping season began on March 20th and photos/blogs can be checked out HERE. Also if you want to head down to Canal Park to watch ships come in/out under the Lift Bridge be sure to check out the shipping schedule.

Happy Ship Watching!!!

A photo I took of the James R. Barker heading out of Duluth at the end of the shipping season last year (December, 14, 2017) from Brighton Beach.

A picture I took in canal park of the American Integrity coming under the Lift Bridge in Duluth last summer – June 3, 2017.
