Scorebuilders PT Exam Prep Class
In addition to the capstone/elective projects that we, the 2018 doctor of physical therapy graduating class, presented on this week to our faculty and peers, we also had two days of the Scorebuilders On-Campus Review Course. This review course was provided by the physical therapy department to assist students in study preparation and test taking skills for the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE). It consisted of two full days of discussion, practice questions, helpful tips and tricks, etc. to hopefully improve test scores. We focused on all the systems the exam covers: Musculoskeletal, Neuromuscular, Cardiopulmonary, Other Systems, and Non-Systems. We also focused on the types of mistakes including, academic, decision making, and test taking and at what level the questions were – 1, 2 or 3. All of this was to help emphasize the weaker areas so that we can put more focus on the area(s) going forward. The NPTE is the exam all physical therapists are required to pass in order to practice physical therapy. It is essentially the culmination of our three years of coursework and internship information. With less than 3 weeks before I take my exam, it was a very helpful exam prep/review session! Back to studying!

My NPTE Scorebuilders exam prep materials I was utilizing the past few days during our review course. Notice my little motivational piece at the top of my desk…”PASS”.
