    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Perk Place

The new bakery and coffee shop is now open. It is located in the Kenwood Shopping Center a few blocks from campus. The shop is a cozy little joint, where students and adults can come in for a cup of coffee to work on projects, homework, assignments, etc. It offers many regular outlets, as well as USB outlets making it a prime spot for using technology. Perk Place also has it’s own Wi-Fi that you can connect to for free.

I decided to spend my snow day checking out what Perk Place was all about. It’s a very warm, quiet, and friendly atmosphere. It’s a great environment to get homework done if you’re not a big fan of the library or your own desk at home. I got a regular cup of coffee, which included a free refill! If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for a good muffin…or two, so I bought two blueberry muffins to get me through some homework.

Need to get some homework done? Have a big project? Need a place to do some research? Looking for a nice cup of coffee and a complimentary baked good? Head on over to Perk Place to show your support for a community friendly business and to get some schoolwork done!

Anxiously awaiting my scrumptious muffins and coffee!
