    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Let The Training Begin

My training program is complete for the 2017 Grandma’s Marathon on June 17.. Running has become a passion of mine ever since I began graduate school at CSS. As weird as it sounds running is one of the ways I cope with the stress from schoolwork and life. Duluth has so many options of places to run, whether that is on one of the many trails that traverse through Duluth, sidewalks, or on the lake walk next to Lake Superior.

If you are an avid or even a recreational runner there are many opportunities to race competitively or just for fun in Duluth. Check out Running in the USA’s website to look at all races by month and length near Duluth, MN. Within my training program includes two trail races including a 17 miler in Theilman, MN and a 50k in Lutsen, MN.

Even if you are not a runner volunteering or just enjoying a summer day in Duluth with friends and/or family on Grandma’s Marathon weekend is highly recommended! The College of St. Scholastica students and the city of Duluth boast a wonderful outdoor community. While here at CSS stay active and opt outdoors in the wonderful city of Duluth!

This is my training plan for the 2017 Grandma’s Marathon in June.
