    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Internship – Minnesota Twins

Throughout my first terminal internship for the DPT program, Viverant in Vadnais Heights, MN, has provided me with some really fantastic opportunities to not only refine my physical therapy skills, but to also network and make the most of my experience here. I have been lucky enough to visit a few of the Viverant locations, work with multiple PT’s in the area, treat young athletes to professional athletes, post-surgical to prehab patients of all ages, and to observe surgery (coming soon). In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Twins players and make it to a few Twins games thanks to tickets through Viverant, where I was able to network other Viverant employees. Almost 7 weeks through and this internship has done an awesome job at helping me grow as a prospective doctorate of physical therapy in so many facets. These internships are such an integral part of our DPT program at CSS, which in the long run helps to put us in successful positions post grad.

Side note – Be sure to be on the lookout over the course of the school year. CSS clubs often will get tickets to basketball, hockey, baseball, etc. games with bus rides to and from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for a very reasonable college price.

Twins vs. Yankees game at Target Field in Minneapolis.

Twins vs. Brewers – Viverant seats for the evening where I was able to network with another therapist in the Viverant organization.
