Grandma’s Marathon Training Update

I just wanted to update my readers on my marathon training status. I am now on week 12 of a 30 week program that leads up to the Grandma’s 40th Anniversary Full Marathon this summer in June. It has been quite a grind with over 170 miles of training thus far. Grandma’s marathon creeps closer with every run I go on. With the hectic schedule of graduate school, coaching, and personal training I’ve done my best to stick with the program. Right now I’m at about 65% for training days. As we get closer I’m hoping to move that up to about 85% so I’m ready for race day!

I just received my Grandma’s Marathon training jacket that comes with registering for the race. It was a nice little mid-week gift to keep me motivated!

This is my updated training program. The highlighted portions are the runs I've completed (~65%).

This is the back of the training jacket I received yesterday for registering for the full marathon this summer.
