Florida Grill Time

The day we get down to Florida we make our stop at Wal-Mart where each guy gets $50 to spend for that week’s meals. Most guys end up teaming up with another guy to have $100 to split between the two guys, it’s just easier to buy in bulk that way. One of the main things guys get is meat for the grill. Often times it’s a big juicy steak, chicken, brats, hot dogs, burgers, and we even had some fish this year.

Most days our games end around 1pm so we are back to the Villas by early afternoon. Just enough time for guys to shower, get a quick nap in, gather their grilling gear, swim trunks, and head down to the picnic park area by the pool. This year was no exception as I think I grilled out 4/7 days possible and twice I grilled out twice in one day. I just wanted to share some photos of the experience.

Also, please note that we did not have a spatula to use so one of our very own genius seniors, Mark Harber, made a makeshift spatula out of palm tree bark as noted in two of the photos.
