Baseball Bible Study
This past Wednesday we held our first Bible Study of the year. We had a great showing of 12 guys. Our theme this year is the “Grind” in every day college life for a young man. We chose a passage and read it, think about it, and dissect it. We then go around the room talking about what stuck out to us individually and why. We talked about how we’re all doing now and if anyone had any special intentions we wanted to offer up during our study. We end with a summary of what we talked about and a nice prayer to lead us through the week and weekend.
It’s nice to have something like this within our team. Although, campus ministry and other individuals hold bible studies but it’s something special when you get a group of guys together that you consider your family and focus on something that is more meaningful than our school work and the game we love. It is a nice support group if any of us ever need someone to talk to. We’re all there for each other and I think it will make our team stronger having a core group of guys who keep their faith at the center of their lives.
