    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

Area Hockey

As many know, Minnesota is known as one of the greatest high school, college, and professional hockey states in the country. It boasts some of the greatest talent in all of the United States. What’s great about being at the College of St. Scholastica is that you are smack dab in the middle of all of it. With multiple high schools in Duluth that contend for the state hockey tournament every year, the #1 nationally ranked UMD Bulldogs, the always competitive CSS saints, and the Wilderness, there is always hockey to be watched.

Today I went down to Mars Lakeview Arena to watch Marshall play Cloquet, Esko, Carlton (CEC) in an early afternoon high school game. The JV played first, followed by the varsity, and to finish out the night the CSS men’s hockey team played conference opponent Finlandia. If you enjoy hockey, Duluth offers many opportunities and venues to watch and play this states most highly regarded sport!

If you are interested, try and set up your visit to the college when you and your family can catch a UMD or CSS game this winter/spring (links below)

A face-off during the Marshall vs. CEC game this afternoon at Mars Lakeview Arena. Mars is home to the CSS men’s and women’s hockey teams, as well as Marshall Prep School.
