    Jesse's Bio:
I graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and am now in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program here at CSS. I played on the baseball team at CSS for four years. I was also a statistics tutor and currently work as personal care assistant in Duluth. I love the outdoors, hunting fishing, hiking, etc. While being at St. Scholastica I have noticed the “family” atmosphere and I am truly enjoying every second of it.

A True Saint

The other evening the RA’s held an event called “An Evening with Rudy”. A little background info: Rudy Tinoco is a janitor/custodian here at the College of St. Scholastica. He is one of the greatest employees at CSS.  I see him everyday on my way to class and everyday he has a huge smile, asks how my day is going and wishes me a great day. He is the most positive, caring, and generous guy I know. The perfect image of a true Saint.

Anyways this event was held because we view Rudy as someone we can look up to as people and it was an opportunity for us to sit around and ask any question we had for Rudy and listen to a few life lessons he had to tell us. He told us his life story, which was extremely touching and shared his contagious enthusiasm. Qu3estions that were asked were ones like, “What’s your favorite sport?” “`Do you ever get upset with us on the messes we make”, “If you could travel anywhere, where would it be”. It was just a great experience to get to know the person that makes your day every morning with a smile.

I took away from this event a quote from Rudy that I’ll never forget, “You are who you believe you are. As long as you stay young at heart the world is yours.”

Trust me if you are ever around the apartments, you’ll know exactly who Rudy by his radiant positivity. Once again I will say Rudy is the perfect image of a true Saint. I hope each and every student gets the privilege of running into Rudy atleast once each year.

Here’s a photo I took during the event. Rudy’s in the center a little to the left.
