    Jake's Bio:
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! My interests range from fishing and running to spending time in the chemistry labs with the professors. The Duluth area mixed with the professional and compassionate faculty and staff that make up St. Scholastica are, in my opinion, the perfect match up for an awesome college experience. I look forward to blogging about my future adventures!

Never Enough Science

Documenting…..it’s just as important as the research itself!

I spent the better half of the day in research. We are attempting to isolate an intermediate but first we need to figure out at what point  in the reaction the intermediate is the most abundant. It’s a tricky process. If you don’t wait long enough you end up with mainly reactant. If you wait too long you run the risk of ending up with only product! I think it’s going to be a pretty challenging process but am definitely having fun with it!
