    Jake's Bio:
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! My interests range from fishing and running to spending time in the chemistry labs with the professors. The Duluth area mixed with the professional and compassionate faculty and staff that make up St. Scholastica are, in my opinion, the perfect match up for an awesome college experience. I look forward to blogging about my future adventures!

Exciting News!

Today was a good day. For a few weeks I’ve been talking with someone about helping out with an after school program next semester at Myers-Wilkins Elementary School.

I had a chance to meet with her today and she informed me that I get to teach a class. I will get to create my own schema and will be responsible for K-2 children. I’m pretty excited. The school is only a couple miles away from campus. Plus,  the lady that I’m working with is a CSS graduate! She’s seems very intelligent and passionate about what she does. However, that’s pretty typical of a CSS grad 😉

I’m super stoked. I found out about his program through one of my classmates. CSS does this type of stuff all the time. It’s crazy how integrated the college is with the City of Duluth. Just another reason to love the college!

Here is a picture of the school. It’s a very nice school!
