    Jared's Bio:
I graduated from CSS with a degree in Exercise Physiology. Now I'm in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program here. I love the active environment this school has, which makes for a great experience especially in a major like my own. Coming to this school has been one of the best decisions of my life. Not only is the school a perfect fit, the city of Duluth is so active and alive all the time, which made the selection of St. Scholastica even easier. I have made so many amazing experiences here that I cannot imagine going to any other school.

Homebound

Just realized I haven’t had a chance to update my blog since I started my internship in Iron River Michigan. The 10 weeks flew by ever so quickly! The internship consisted mostly of home health, acute care, and a little outpatient care. The home health setting, especially in a rural area, posed quite the challenge. It was difficult to try and provide appropriate and challenging interventions in the home. The average home health patient probably doesn’t have a complete gym set up in their house, not yet that I’ve seen anyways. Being in a different state, it was also difficult to manage pt’s insurance because I did not know the ins and outs of their insurance. I’m lucky enough now to be at home for the next 5 weeks, and I will be studying to take my CSCS certification prior to graduation. More to come on that later!
