    Doctor of Physical Therapy

    Jared's Bio:
I graduated from CSS with a degree in Exercise Physiology. Now I'm in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program here. I love the active environment this school has, which makes for a great experience especially in a major like my own. Coming to this school has been one of the best decisions of my life. Not only is the school a perfect fit, the city of Duluth is so active and alive all the time, which made the selection of St. Scholastica even easier. I have made so many amazing experiences here that I cannot imagine going to any other school.

Home bound

Finally home after a long 5.5 hour drive home! Interestingly enough, my dad and I are active homebrewing enthusiasts, and luckily my google fu/craigslist skills allowed me to find someone who was selling grain for making beer at 0.60$/pound (usually 2.00$/pound). Needless to say, I took advantage of the deal and stopped in St. Cloud on the way home to purchase this grain.

It was tough, however, to leave my “live in home” in Iowa.. I’ve been down there for 10+ weeks now, and I’ve come to love how similar Iowa is to MN, even though there aren’t as many trees or lakes.. I have to admit that at my internship, there was a higher quality of care given towards patients compared to any internship I’ve had in MN. I don’t know if that is because it was an outpatient setting or what, but I felt that the focus on patient progression was so ingrained in how we worked that I don’t know how else it’s supposed to work.
