    Jin's Bio:
Hi, there! I'm Jin, and I am a passionate, talkative, dessert fanatic. Poems, good books, coconut water, and action movies make me happy. If we ever meet in person, you'll definitely hear me before you see me. You'll want to ask how many energy drinks I've had, but the answer will always be zero.

Registration Stress

I remember in high school when I would look through a sheet of paper with a short list of classes that were offered for the 2 electives I had space for in my already-determined academic schedule, and I would always get excited to choose which electives I wanted to take. Then, all I had to do was make a check mark next to the classes and turn in the piece of paper to my teacher, and a few days later–bam–there was my schedule for the next semester.

Oh, the good ol’ days when things were so simple.

Not so much anymore. Trust me, I’m not the only college student who stresses out about registration. You have to choose your classes based on the requirements of each major or minor, make sure they’re offered during specific days and times, and then you basically try to solve a puzzle with all of your other courses. But I tend to feel like the puzzle I have to solve is missing too many pieces and I have to bore my eyes into the screen for a few hours before I figure out how to take all the classes I need when I need to take them.

But you can only do that after asking around to every single person you may know about which courses they’ve already taken, how the professors were, what kind of classes were hard and easy, how much homework or studying the professors required, how boring or interesting the class was, if they would recommend that course or professor…we could go on.

The good news is, after doing this a few times over the years, you’ll get better and better at fitting the pieces together.
