    Jin's Bio:
Hi, there! I'm Jin, and I am a passionate, talkative, dessert fanatic. Poems, good books, coconut water, and action movies make me happy. If we ever meet in person, you'll definitely hear me before you see me. You'll want to ask how many energy drinks I've had, but the answer will always be zero.

Gearing Up for Finals Week

Finals week is coming up in less than 2 weeks, and I am starting to feel the heat. My calendar is filling up more and more each day with tests that I have to study for, assignments that I have to complete, final projects to work on, presentations to finish, and group assignments to contribute to. Too bad there aren’t 50 hours in a day because that’s what I feel like I need in order to get everything done.

I don’t know about you, but I always feel so much pressure when an assignment has the word “final,” or a test has the word “final.” It’s like if I don’t do perfectly, the mistakes will be final, permanent, indelible, and will come haunt me for the rest of my life. Or at least until I get a job outside of college. This adds to my already-overwhelming amount of stress and anxiety, which makes me even more stressed out and anxious.

What I have to constantly remind myself during these times of high stress is that it’s imperative that I take care of myself. It doesn’t matter how many more hours I feel like I need to study to be fully prepared for an exam coming up, I still have to sleep. It doesn’t matter if I feel like I haven’t learned a thing during the entire semester, I still have to do my best to review the information and give myself the best chance I can. It doesn’t matter if I have ten things to do every hour, I still have to remember that I can only do one thing at a time and be satisfied with the results, regardless of what they may be.

So, I’m gearing up for finals week and remembering that I’ve survived tests in elementary school, middle school, high school, and even the past semesters of college. Finals are just tests that happen to be administered on the same week as other tests before the semester is over. I’ve suvived them before, I will survive them again and again.
