GDR Cares About Birds

Decorations on GDR windows

A few weeks ago, I made some decorations to put on GDR’s 6 back windows. The decorations change depending on the time of the year, and this time around, I made the decorations to reflect the holiday season and winter.

The food services director asked me to make those decorations for two reasons: to decorate GDR and make it look more festive, and also to help out the birds that fly around CSS.

You see, birds can’t see through glass, so they sometimes fly straight into the windows full-force and injure themselves. Some die because they pass out and/or break their wings and can’t fly again. The large decorations help the birds stay away from the windows because they see them as obstacles and don’t try to fly at them.

So, how many birds have the decorations saved? Any number greater than 0 is good enough for me.
