    Jin's Bio:
Hi, there! I'm Jin, and I am a passionate, talkative, dessert fanatic. Poems, good books, coconut water, and action movies make me happy. If we ever meet in person, you'll definitely hear me before you see me. You'll want to ask how many energy drinks I've had, but the answer will always be zero.

Barely Edible vs. Delicious

I don’t enjoy cooking. The process is grueling and almost torturous for me. I like to have my food ready to eat within 10 minutes. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll pop something in the oven and consider it gourmet. But that doesn’t happen often because I am usually too hungry for anything I can’t eat NOW.

On the other hand, one of my roommates absolutely loves cooking. She enjoys the prepping, the gathering of ingredients, finding new recipes, cooking, boiling, simmering, waiting for food to actually cook–the whole thing.

She is currently in the process of making chicken noodle soup from scratch. It’s a 3-day process and she’s so excited about it. Although I don’t share her enthusiasm for cooking, we can both agree that her food is always lip-smacking delicious, whereas my food is barely edible (sometimes not edible at all, actually).

I’m starting to think maybe I should watch less Food Network shows and spend more time making food that is better than just barely edible. I probably won’t be making five-star dishes anytime soon, but maybe I’ll start with breakfast burritos–the kind that isn’t store-bought.
