Anti-Violence Week

Shirt Declarations for Anti-Violence Week
At CSS, we take anti-violence very seriously and our campus strives to empower and support those who have been victims of relationship violence in the past.
In the hallways of Tower near Student Union (on the first floor of Tower) there were colorful shirts hung up with declarations of strength and recovery related to violence.
“I deserve to be treated with all the respect in the world.”
“I am stronger today than I was yesterday.”
Students had the chance to make their own shirt declarations to be hung up. I think this speaks volumes to how resilient human beings are, but also how important it is to support and encourage one another in all circumstances, no matter how difficult. Violence prevention is a priority on campus, which stems from one of our Benedictine values of respect.
