Air Jam
Homecoming week is coming up right around the corner and there are posters after posters after posters around campus about all of the events happening soon. Homecoming BBQ. Homecoming dance. Homecoming games.
But what caught my eye in the midst of all of those colorful posters was:
AIR JAM!
What is this jamming of the air, you ask? Well, if you know anything about playing the air guitar, you’re already probably familiar with air jamming. It’s when you lip-sync and rock out and dance…all without having to worry about hitting the right notes or holding the right key or singing and dancing and playing an instrument all at the same time.
You just get to have a jam session without the pressure of being…even slightly good.
After an entire five seconds of thinking about it (I made my decision after seeing that there were over $600 in cash prizes) I decided to do some air jamming in front of an audience on stage during Homecoming week.
Why would I do that?
I’m in college. When else would I have the chance to show off a total lack of musical care in the world and have people clap for me? Also, I did mention that there are cash prizes, right?
