    Halle's Bio:
Hello, my name is Halle Nystrom and I'm a grad student at the College of St. Scholastica (I also did my undergrad here). I chose Duluth because it's the perfect amount of distance from home, which is about a 4.5 hour drive for me. I think Duluth is an easy place to adapt to and to fall in love with at the same time. Please feel free to comment on my posts and ask any questions!

Living Off Campus

This is my first year living off campus, and it is a big change. There are ups and downs to it. It can be a hassle having to wake up earlier to drive to school and get a good parking spot. It took me a while to get in the habit of leaving early but it is not so bad once you get the hang of it. It’s great being off campus because you get a sense of freedom that you miss out on for the first two years. Having a house or apartment truly makes you feel like an adult. Living off campus is a huge responsibility but is something everyone should try to experience. Overall I really enjoy being off campus, and I think I’ll continue to like it more and more as I get older!
