    Hong-Ming's Bio:
    I have taught twelve different classes at St. Scholastica. They range from World History to Human Rights, Asian Studies to Globalization, Political Science to US Foreign Relations. I am also the founding chief editor of The Middle Ground, a nationally recognized journal of world history and global studies. The journal offers unique opportunities for student interns interested in research, book reviews, journalism, publishing, marketing, and teaching.

manga, cats, liberal arts education ….

A very talented student in our Issues in Asian History class has transformed all of us into manga cats — this is possible, and encouraged, while we slowly work our way through cutting edge, difficult scholarly monographs — demonstrating that 1. we have creative, imaginative students, 2. a broad, humanistic, intellectually challenging education which encourages humility, empathy, and critical creative analysis will impart important foundation for all future pathways.
