    Gabi's Bio:
I love being considered a “city girl” although St. Paul seems small to me sometimes. I chose to come to Duluth for aesthetic reasons and the sense of community that Scholastica embodies. Being in three clubs, a student senator, full credit load, and two part time jobs, I keep myself very busy. I wouldn't trade it for anything! We need to take advantage of the prime time in our life. These four years go by faster than high school, and I’m just trying to enjoy every moment of it!

Grinnell, Iowa

I started off my Spring Break my driving down to Grinnell, Iowa to visit one of my friends from elementary school, Alyce. This is my third year in a row coming down here the first weekend of Spring Break. We went to this really rustic restaurant for lunch, it looked like the inside of the barn. We lounged around and watched Law and Order: SVU which is what I love to do. For dinner we made our own nachos, num num.

Grinnell has lots of cool dances and there is one called Mary B. James that always happens to be the weekend that I’m here. Alyce dressed up a little bit, but I only had a mustache on. We hung out at a few different places but didn’t even end up at the dance. I had woken up at 6:45 to drive down here so I was a bit exhausted by midnight.

Today we went to this new restaurant and had a good brunch. It’s literally been raining all weekend. It rained for my entire drive, so the gloomy weather is keeping us inside. We did go for a walk around town, but it was so cold that we headed back to her house for more Law and Order: SVU. We met up with her friend Alice (hehehe) and went to dinner in the dining hall. Now we’re sitting in their school newspaper’s office. The paper is called Scarlet and Black which are their school colors. Pretty cool!
