    Gabi's Bio:
I love being considered a “city girl” although St. Paul seems small to me sometimes. I chose to come to Duluth for aesthetic reasons and the sense of community that Scholastica embodies. Being in three clubs, a student senator, full credit load, and two part time jobs, I keep myself very busy. I wouldn't trade it for anything! We need to take advantage of the prime time in our life. These four years go by faster than high school, and I’m just trying to enjoy every moment of it!

Free Ice Skating!

So I’m VERY UnMinnesotan when it comes to doing things outdoors in the winter. I’ve never hunted, I’m not good at fishing, I’ve never ridden a snowmobile, and I’m terrible at ice skating.

Well, yesterday my friend and I decided to push our luck and go ice skating yesterday. In Downtown Saint Paul there’s free ice skating for Wells Fargo customers, or in my friend Alyce’s case she got it for free for bringing her own skates. One of the maintenance guys called me “bambi legs” due to my stance and lack of balance. I had only been skating for about 20 minutes when I fell. Of course. I only fell once though, and I definitely thought I would have fallen 4 or 5 times!

After ice skating we went to Dunn Brothers (it was my first time!) and warmed up with a mint mocha and a chai tea latte. It was so much fun catching up with a friend I hadn’t seen since July! What’s great is that when I go months without seeing friends we talk to each other like it’s only been a few days.
