    Gabi's Bio:
I love being considered a “city girl” although St. Paul seems small to me sometimes. I chose to come to Duluth for aesthetic reasons and the sense of community that Scholastica embodies. Being in three clubs, a student senator, full credit load, and two part time jobs, I keep myself very busy. I wouldn't trade it for anything! We need to take advantage of the prime time in our life. These four years go by faster than high school, and I’m just trying to enjoy every moment of it!

Fitger’s Brewhouse, Olive Garden and Black Bear Casino

After another hard work week, Nikki and I headed to Fitger’s Brewhouse for dinner. Usually I am the SLOWEST eater ever… But after taking the bus downtown, walking to the Fitger’s complex and waiting 20 minutes for a table… I was freaking hungry. When you’re in college there is definitely a lack of meat… especially RED MEAT. So Nikki and I decided to get burgers. Yummmmmmyyyy. Nikki ordered a bleu cheese burger and I had one with bacon, BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese. YUM. I was done so quickly, even Nikki commented. After that we went to the Portland Malt Shop and ordered a sweet dessert. I had banana and dark chocolate, and Nikki had a hot fudge sundae malt. It was definitely worth the thousands of calories we had that night.

Saturday I FINALLY got to sleep in after 3 weekends of not being able to. It felt really nice. I watched the Olympics and read ALL day. It was definitely a lazy Saturday. My friend Mackenzie came and picked me up around 7:15 and we headed to Olive Garden. I had barely eaten all day so I was really pumped about OG, especially since we hadn’t been there in a while. Well, it was the worst service I’ve gotten at Olive Garden, EVER. There were two couples that came after we ordered are food, and were done with their entrees and paying the bill before we had even gotten our salad and bread sticks. What gives?? We arrived at 7:30, and didn’t leave til 9:30. Talk about a long time at a restaurant. I hope they clean up their act.

Then we headed over to Coldstone… of course 🙂 We waited in the car for about 10 minutes to let our stomachs settle and then we went in. It was a surprisingly cool night, so there weren’t tons of people at Coldstone. I guess by then it was about 10 o clock… Finally we headed to Carlton to go to Black Bear Casino. I had never gone to Black Bear, so I was excited. Usually when I go to casinos I leave with more than I came with. Well, I had heard some bad things about Black Bear. Those things were true 🙁 Mackenzie and I both lost our 20 dollars in 35 minutes. It was devastating. I was really hoping to leave with at least the cost of my Olive Garden dinner, Coldstone and how much I gambled with. Better luck next time I guess….
