    Gabi's Bio:
I love being considered a “city girl” although St. Paul seems small to me sometimes. I chose to come to Duluth for aesthetic reasons and the sense of community that Scholastica embodies. Being in three clubs, a student senator, full credit load, and two part time jobs, I keep myself very busy. I wouldn't trade it for anything! We need to take advantage of the prime time in our life. These four years go by faster than high school, and I’m just trying to enjoy every moment of it!

Day at the Capitol

Day at the capitol was successful! We all woke up early to head down to the Capitol! There were muffins, donuts, juice, etc. to fuel people early in the morning. I drove separately because I had to swap cars in Saint Paul, but everyone else rode on the bus. It was REALLY hard to stay awake, but luckily I had Ke$ha’s “Warrior” album to blast!  Once we got there we had a little introductory meeting about what the day consists of. The reason we head down to the capitol is to discuss how important the Minnesota State Grant is for us as students. The representative I met with asked about our lives, where we are from, and our jobs on campus. It was fun because the girls that I went in to the meeting with ended up being people that I went to junior high/senior high with! Small world!

Some freebies that you get for going to Day at the Capitol include: T-Shirt, breakfast, 10 dollars for lunch, a bus ride and FUN! I highly encourage you to go once you’re a student here!

Here’s a photo from the front steps of the Capitol! I love Saint Paul! I love my city!
