    Fatima's Bio:
I’m a junior majoring in Biochemistry and Biology. I love being involved on campus. Our community is welcoming and full of opportunities for everyone. I’m the co-president of our school’s Amnesty International chapter, and the Editor in Chief of The Cable, the school newspaper. I tutor and mentor through Student Support Services. I am also a Chemistry lab and Dignitas teaching assistant. I’m very passionate about human rights and never afraid to be myself. I find that I am able to freely express myself through the activities I’m involved in.

Brother Ali concert

The club I’m co-president of at CSS, Amnesty International, is a human rights organization. We try really hard on campus to educate students about human rights issues abroad and in the U.S. by unique and exciting ways.

Brother Ali, a Minneapolis-based prominent Hip Hop artist, educates about human rights and dignity (as well as social issues in general) through his lyrics. With the help of CSS, we’ve managed to book him for February 17th!! Tickets are only $10 for CSS students and community members and $15 for everyone else. We’re donating all ticket proceeds to charity.

Although planning a concert is no easy task, I’m so excited to show the college a new and exciting point of view that is often ignored. We hope to emphasis the Benedictine value of community as well as one of the college’s goals of diversity by bringing this fresh perspective.
