    Emily's Bio:
I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

My last Student Outdoor Adventure Retreat [SOAR] trip was one for the books. I cannot begin to express in words how much the experiences of these trips have meant to me. Becoming a sea kayaking guide and being able to share the joys of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore [AINL] with others has made me feel so entirely whole. Our group of freshman were incredible this year; they were all so willing to try new things, push themselves, and open up to one another. Five out of my twelve participants expressed interest in becoming a guide for Outdoor Pursuit [OP!] after we returned, and I was ecstatic. I cannot wait to hear how the rest of their college journey’s progress, and I also am looking forward to seeing how my co-guides continue to grow as kayaking guides. Cheers to the many years of learning, outdoors, and passion I have experienced as being a part of the SOAR program at The College of St. Scholastica.
