    Emily's Bio:
I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

Photography Project

In my Alternative Photography Methods class, the ultimate goal is to work towards a final portfolio of work. After taking three previous photography classes with my professor, Edward Smith, I have learned a lot about photography as an art and myself as a photographer. In the past, my portfolios have included a collection of experimental work. I am in a place now, with my photography, that allows me to lend toward a more developed and specific aim in my work. My goal this semester is to focus on my love for capturing the human expression. Each unique individual is beautiful in their own, flaws and perfections included. Through alternative processes, I hope to portray the idea of individual beauty and uniqueness of the individual. I am involving many of my friends from St. Scholastica in the project and using the wondrous wilderness Duluth has to offer as a backdrop.
