Nanny for the Summer

This summer, I will be nannying for a family that I became connected to through my enrollment at CSS. During the spring semester, just as I was realizing my need for a summer job, an email came through from one of the nursing program faculty members. She was looking for someone who could nanny for her three kids Monday through Thursday during the summer months. It sounded like the perfect fit, so I jumped at the opportunity and emailed her right away. She invited me over to meet the kids, and it felt right from the start; their home was welcoming, it reminded me of my home growing up, and the oldest reminded me of my younger brother, whom I adore. This week was my first week with the kiddos, and it was a whole bunch of fun. Besides the normal sibling things here and there, the kids are very well behaved, motivated, active, smart, excited about learning and trying new things, and positive as can be. I should mention how much I adore their pets as well, two cats, Ellie and Em, two dogs, Keaton and Kota, and a guinea pig, Oreo. I am already excited to be back hanging with the kiddos this next Monday. I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful summer job, and I am excited to see what adventures the rest of the summer holds!
