I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

My Musical Experience at CSS

I have a deep love for music, and The College of St. Scholastica has allowed me to further explore the world of sound. Although I have not become involved in any sort of ensemble during my journey at the college, I have had the chance to take some really great music classes.

During my sophomore fall semester at CSS, I took a beginning guitar course and have been playing ever since. My grandmother gave me her guitar just over a year ago, and I learned enough in that class to kick start the learning I would do on my own. For the spring semester, I decided to enroll in the beginning voice class, and that was also wonderful. I learned so much about my voice and was inspired to sign up for private voice lessons.

This semester, now being a junior at the college, I am enrolled in private voice lessons with Bill Bastian, one of CSS’ voice instructors. I am really excited to learn from a musically talented and inspiring individual. Music makes my heart happy, and I am so glad that I have had these additional opportunities to include music study in my experience at CSS.
