I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

Morning Yoga

For the past two years or so, I have developed and grown my passion for yoga. It is something that has become a part of me. It has helped me through a lot of stressful times and has grounded me when I needed it the most. Yoga has especially helped me stay focused and balanced in my studies and school life. More recently, I have learned that I also love to share my practice with my friends and those around me.

My friend Mel, some others occasionally, and I began practicing together last spring. We would get together in the morning and practice on campus before class. It was wonderful. I loved sharing the practice with my friends, and I really enjoyed beginning my days with a deeper connection to myself and the world around me.

I began to talk about our experiences to some of my other friends at St. Scholastica, and the seed was planted. Our little morning practices have sparked the interest of many others, and, so far this semester, I have been leading practice for a small group of friends a couple days per week. I have every intention to continue sharing my practice with those around me.
