I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

Mondays Are For Voice Lessons

It is several weeks into the fall semester now, and I still start my Monday mornings with a private voice lesson taught by Bill Bastian. Singing Elegie, a French tune, makes me feel very calm and happy all at once. It really is a beautiful way to begin a new week of school. More often than not, students despise Mondays and wish to never encounter its existence. I, however, try to find the joy in every single day. This means avoiding the emphasis of negativity on Monday. Instead, I like to cherish what I value most and use that positivity to carry me through my day. I use that very same mentality when it comes to homework; I find the positive in what I am doing and let that inspiration carry me through the hard work.
