Lion
I had the honor of attending the Lion UK premiere last night in Leicester Square, London. Lion tells the true story of a young boy from India who becomes lost after falling asleep on a train. Twenty-five years later, he is living with his adoptive parents in Australia. We follow his story and journey in searching for his family in India. I cannot even begin to describe what it felt like to be in the presence of these talented people. The night was one of the best experiences of my life. I was moved to tears by the film; they were streaming down my cheeks by the end. The work Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, and the others did was extraordinary. I left the Odeon theatre filled with great inspiration and motivation to continue pursuing what I truly desire to do in life. I am forever grateful to The College of St. Scholastica for enabling me to be here, experiencing all that I am. I am cherishing every single breath, moment, and experience.
