    Emily's Bio:
I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

His Name Is Ives

I wrote a story for the Cable student newspaper last week that previewed Bill Bastian’s upcoming recital, His Name Is Ives. Bastian is an instructor in the Music Department at CSS. I, myself, have had the chance to take a beginning voice class and private voice lessons with Bastian while at CSS.

The recital was tonight in the Mitchell Auditorium at CSS. A couple friends and I chose to attend, and it was wonderful. The songs he performed were a collection of American composer Charles Ives’ works. They were very unique and entertaining. I enjoyed the recital and was glad to be a part of sharing the story with the CSS community.
