I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

Happy Accident

Accidents happen all the time and yesterday one stumbled into my life. During my Alternative Methods Photography class, I spilled Van Dyke sensitizer all over one of my new, bright white Converse. At first, the solution appeared to be light yellow on the white canvas. However, this was a light sensitive solution we use for printing. As soon as my shoe met the sun, it darkened. It was a huge bummer, and I was most definitely frustrated at first. Throughout life and my time at CSS, I have learned that things happen for a reason and there is something to be learned or gained in every situation. Instead of continuing to feel frustrated, I began to find an appreciation for the art in my shoes. I will forever remember the alt methods course I took my junior year of college, and I now have an awesome pair of art shoes. They are uniquely my own and will never blend in with the numerous other feet carrying a pair of white Converse.
