I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

Digital Photo Final Portfolio

For me, Mondays consist of free time until my 5:30 class. Today I decided to be productive. I spent the majority of my day working on my final Digital Photography portfolio. I ended up having my photos printed at First Photo on Central Entrance after first attempting to have them printed at Walgreens. Unfortunately, Walgreens couldn’t print my photos the way I needed them printed. The final prints from First Photo, though, turned out great.

After getting back to campus, I spent an hour-or-so mounting my prints onto matte board to make them more presentable for the final viewing. It is a beautiful day, so I opened the window to invite some of the fresh, crisp air and sunshine into the matte room. Lucky enough, the matte room happens to be across the way from the music rehearsal rooms. I enjoyed the sounds of the steel band practicing throughout the whole process. It was wonderful. Their sounds were beautiful.

My portfolio is not officially due until Thursday, but I wanted to have my work finished in plenty of time in order to avoid some unnecessary stress. This is my third photography class at the college, and I care to produce a final project that represents the growth I have made. Overall, I am pretty happy with my work for the most part. I think this may be the best portfolio I have put together thus far, but I still have plenty of room to grow as a photographer.
