    Emily's Bio:
I am a senior majoring in communication and minoring in photography. The College of St. Scholastica has been a great place for me to be throughout my college journey. I am fascinated by the world and am currently studying abroad at Regent's University London in England. I live for the little things and the adventures I stumble upon everyday. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, listening to and writing music, taking pictures, and exploring.

Another Day on the Water

I had the opportunity to spend some more time on the water yesterday. My boss in Outdoor Pursuit, Shawn, and one of my co-guide’s, Jane, for St. Scholastica sea kayaking trips spent a couple of hours paddling sea kayaks along the North Shore from Brighton Beach towards Canal Park. It was a very warm day, and the water was calm-as-could-be. It was a wonderful night for a paddle.

Jane spent a lot of time last summer helping me to learn to roll my kayak. Rolling a kayak is a skill that allows a paddler to return their boat to an upright position after tipping over without exiting the kayak. As of three days ago, I rolled my kayak for the first time without any assistance, and I was very excited about it.

Jane captured me rolling yesterday while we were on the water:
