A Day Away From the Office
This summer, I have been working in the Outdoor Pursuit office. Most of the work there involves working inside on inventory, organizing gear, preparing rentals, or scheduling events. Today, I had the opportunity to get outside.
Two of my fellow guides have been guiding climbing trips for a few weeks now. They had two groups coming out today and needed some extra help. We spent the day climbing at Ely’s Peak until we were rained out in the afternoon. The rest of the day consisted of climbing indoors at the rock wall in the Burns Wellness Commons.
It was a refreshing, exhausting, and rewarding day of work. It was nice to have a change of scenery and give kids the opportunity to experience climbing outdoors.
