Choosing a Major

Choosing a major can be very intimidating because it represents what you might be doing after you graduate.  I know first hand the struggles of choosing a major.  When I first entered CSS as a freshman, I was certain that I wanted to be a biologist.  I had always enjoyed science and all of the lab experiments, so I thought, naturally, that I would want to do that for my career.  But in my sophomore year, I realized that biology/lab work was definitely NOT for me.  At that point I had no idea what I wanted to pursue (which was a bit terrifying!)  I reached out to the Career Services at CSS (who are awesome by the way!)  They helped me figure out my strengths and careers that I would enjoy doing.  I discovered the Computer Information Systems major, and realized that that was something that I was very interesting in pursuing.  Career Services have helped me update my resume, job interview tips, as well as internship help.  I cannot recommend Career Services enough!
